Montezuma

Ciao, touring has been crazy in the last weeks so I didnt update that much, but I wanted to write something about the craziest place I’ve seen on the road: Montezuma Castle.

The Castle

Of course I didn’t play here. I had a day off before my show in Phoenix, Arizona: promoter/dj Mara offered me to go around for adventures and see these native ruins – (thank you and Jessie for the pictures too!) The Castle is one of the most famous cliff-dwelling in North America, was built by a Pre-Columbian people called Sinagua (without water) who built it around 700 A.D. It actually is a Castel INSIDE the mountain, made of 20 rooms located in different levels. How could they do that, such a longtime ago? I don’t know.

Montezuma Well

This is Montezuma Well, a natural limestone sink fed by artesian spring, Its huge. The Sinagua people of course used it to irrigate their crops with its water, and part of the original Sinagua canal is still in use today. Also apparently this place is home to species of animals found nowhere else on this planet.

I also got the chance to see some petroglyphs in beatiful Sedona area. These petroglyphs worked like a calendar for natives… and still look dope!

Just came back from the Australian tour. I woke up few hours ago in my milanese bed like it was breakfast time, but it was actually fn midnight. Instead of eggrolls I got some nice meatrolls Gaia cooked for me, thank you for that! Australia was a blast. I am really thankful to all the people I’ve met on the road; not only all the cities and places were great but I was surrounded by extremely nice people since the real beginning to the real end.

First of all, I flied on Emirates to Dubai. Dubai airport is ridicolously big, a real city. They spend money like crazy, there. As every big city in the world where people spend money like crazy I found this

The first show was in Perth, the biggest city in West Australia. A really sunny relaxing and laiback place. I took a train from Fremantle to the city to see the Art Gallery Of Western Australia, where nowadays you can find an amazing exhibition of Indigenous Art Awards

Then I headed to Sydney for a show at Tank (big club, big party) and four days off. I found out Deathface and Rob Threezy were in town too. We planned lots of things (“we should do a track together!”) and check out everything possibile in this beatiful city,  but we actually spent the whole time eating asian food and going for turistic rounds.

Then I lost my camera. I went to Adelaide where I had probably the best show of the tour. You know why? Because I miss my ol punk days when I was surrounded by the crowd while playing instead of playing on a 20 feet tall booth!

I was kind of wasted and sick during the last days as I didnt sleep at all, but it was good meeting european friends Francesca and Anne in Brisbane and the best australian restauraunts in Melbourne. I hate going for italian food while I am touring but Sarti Restauraunt made me change my idea. Thank you John Curtin for bringin me there and sorry if I looked like a jetlagged zombie.
